Can I just use Launchpad for translations? (to add to proprietary software)

Asked by Bryan Quigley

If I just want to just use the translation features of launchpad, can I?
The po files would eventually be incorporated into proprietary software.

Let's say we are completely happy to BSD license the translations.

It is possible if the project has a commercial subscription (select Other/Proprietary from the available licenses). To enable translations, you either
  A. import the source code and set automatic import and sync
  B. manually upload the POTs., then download the PO as needed

Right, I guess what I'm asking if it's possible if the project doesn't have a commercial subscription.
With option
  B. manually upload the POTs., then download the PO as needed

assuming we release the original text under an open source license.

It is not possible without the commercial subscription because the principle "work" of the software is proprietary.
