please delete unused "Amanda" Launchpad project
I recently discovered the existence of the "Amanda" project on Launchpad:
https:/
... but noticed that it is years out of date and doesn't appear to have actually ever been used for anything.
I contacted Jamie Wilkinson (the registrant for the project) to suggested he might want to delete it, to avoid confusion -- and he replied, saying that he agreed the project should be deleted but that he didn't know how to do so himself.
So, he/we are requesting that it be deleted by a Launchpad admin.
Thanks.
Nathan

Or, if https:/
(And in that case, is there any way to cause a re-sync to happen between the Launchpad project and the Sourceforge upstream?)

I've contacted the maintainer and asked them to confirm.

Launchpad cannot delete projects, they can be deactivated, but in this specific case Ubuntu is using the project. Ubuntu wants to track amanda code updates and bugs. The project can be owned by anyone, The goal of the Registry Administrators is to not own any projects because we to no do day to day maintenance.

Project registrants are powerless. They are an historical fact. paddy-zmanda (paddy) is the Launchpad maintainer. Some one needs to contain the maintainer and ask for the new branch to be setup with a new series.

For what it's worth, it appears that the import has failed each of the three times it has run...

Oops. My fault. I did not type the complete URL in. The branch is importing now.
Can you help with this problem?
