please reactivate? my account

Asked by Dirk Schuster

Hi,

I am still able to log into my old 'deactivated' account. (Which shouldn't be possible. Perhaps the reason is that I got an Ubuntu One account. And since Ubuntu One also uses OpenId, this might reopened the gate to the formerly deactivated launchpad account.)

However, since I need to reuse my account to report a bug, my problem is, that my launchpad id and openid login still have the suffix '-deactivatedaccount'. Could you please reset this or at least tell me what to do.

Although I didn't expected any change, I even tried to reset the password. But as expected there wasn't any sideeffect triggered, that magically would have removed the suffix.

Launchpad Id:
    dirk-schuster-deactivatedaccount

OpenID login:
    https://launchpad.net/~dirk-schuster-deactivatedaccount

Thanks,
Dirk

So as I understand it, the issue is that you have a U1 account, which is based on your email, and Launchpad is using Ubuntu's SSO to authenticate against Launchpad, which uses the same email that you have for your U1.

I think the best thing is to just reactivate your account as you mention, I'll look into what that takes.

I've renamed your account.

When you went to login to Launchpad, it reactivated your account, because of the email address link.

I've renamed the account for you, though you're also able to do it yourself.
