Install Private PPA

Asked by W. Andrew Loe III

I have a private ppa (https://launchpad.net/~onehub/+archive/private) but I cannot figure out how to "install" it so I can use it on my systems.

I attempted using apt-add-repository:
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:onehub/private
Error: can't find signing_key_fingerprint at https://launchpad.net/api/1.0/~onehub/+archive/private

I attempted adding the URLs to /etc/apt/sources.list.d/ but apt-get update shows 401s:
W: Failed to fetch https://private-ppa.launchpad.net/onehub/private/ubuntu/dists/lucid/main/binary-amd64/Packages.gz The requested URL returned error: 401

W: Failed to fetch https://private-ppa.launchpad.net/onehub/private/ubuntu/dists/lucid/main/source/Sources.gz The requested URL returned error: 401

I cannot find directions on the private PPA's page.

hi the you should subscribe yourself or team. Lp will send you an email. The subscription will also show up on your"View your private PPA subscriptions" subscriptions page which contains the instructions to install the key to access the private ppa. there is a "Manage access" link on your PPA page. That link will let you subscribe users and teams to the archive

Can you help with this problem?
