Fulah country listing info

Asked by cjl

http://www.panafril10n.org/wikidoc/pmwiki.php/PanAfrLoc/Fula

Fula is an officially recognized national language in the following countries: Mauritania, Senegal, Mali, Guinea, Burkina Faso, Niger, Nigeria, Cameroon and Gambia

If that is a good enough source, you might want to update

https://translations.launchpad.net/+languages/ff

This question being asked per that page's instructions:

"Fulah is not registered as being spoken in any country. If you know about a country that officially speaks this language, please open a question with that information, so we can add it to Launchpad. "

Acccording to Wikipedia:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fula_language is spoken in:

Mauritania, Senegal, Mali, Guinea, Burkina Faso, Niger, Nigeria, Cameroon, Gambia, Chad, Sierra Leone, Benin, Guinea-Bissau, Sudan, Central African Republic, Côte d'Ivoire, Ghana, Togo, Liberia, Gabon

a longer list tah the earlier one I referenced

which means you could add Chad, Sierra Leone, Benin, Sudan, Central African Republic, Côte d'Ivoire, Ghana, Togo, Liberia, Gabon

But I would suggest removing Equatorial Guinea

And you definitely need to remove Papua New Guinea, which is an island in the Pacific Ocean where the indigenous language is Tok Pisin and I doubt there are any Fulah speakers at all.

Wikipedia is totally unreliable for Fulah population. Say 13,000,000 while Senegal and Guinea count more than 9 million and Nigeria alone 10,000,000!

Mauritania, Senegal, Mali, Guinea, Burkina Faso, Niger, Nigeria, Cameroon, Gambia, Chad, Sierra Leone, Benin, Guinea-Bissau, Sudan, Central African Republic, Côte d'Ivoire, Ghana, Togo, Liberia, Gabon
