Increase upload level of packages > 200 MiB

Asked by SirVer

The widelands project grows from release to release due to a lot of media (especially graphics and music). We scratch on the 200 MiB upload limit in the release we are currently preparing (buld 17) and will surely blow it in build 18. Is there a possibility to get this limit upped to a Gig or so?

Can you tell me specificity which PPA you are referring to? also how much extra space do you need

no PPA. This is about the widelands project and the uploading of our release packages (launchpad.net/widelands). 1 Gig should do the trick for a looong time.

The limit is the same for all projects and we can't increase one without increasing everyones, I've asked the developers to look into this for the future but for now it's not possible

That is quite unfortunate. What do you suggest we do for our next release if we indeed are over 200MiB. Is there any way to upload those packages?

All projects have the same quota and most stay within their limit, as I mentioned I have asked the developers to look into this it would require upping the limit for all projects across the board. This needs a branch to be done and also to be looked into further at present it's not going to happen soon as the teams are already working on projects.

Should you actually go over the limit we can then look into things for you should this occur.

Can you help with this problem?
