Is Launchpad planned to be more social and end user targeted?

Asked by Timmie

I really like the developer features (PPA builds, code mirroring, etc.)

I would like to know if there are plans to make the Launchpad user interface more social and end user oriented?

I am looking at features such as:

* Pages (e.g. https://github.com/blog/272-github-pages)
* Follow (connect with activities of other users)
* ...

We'd *love* to do something like that but we have no plans right now.

However, we are very much interested in helping other people to hack on Launchpad itself. So, if you'd like to add social features to Launchpad we are here to help :)

OK. Thanks for your answer. Very sad though, becasue I can see a huge move towards github due to these features...

Where shall I publish info on my PPA?
On the wiki?

You can add info about your PPA to your launchpad page like others do, or if you've involved in the Ubuntu community create a page on wiki.ubuntu.com/USERNICK and create content there

Can you help with this problem?

Provide an answer of your own, or ask Timmie for more information if necessary.
