Reassign "mandriva" project to @rpm5.org team?
I'm the lead developer at http://
I'm also heavily involved with Mandriva distro development.
The "ROSA Project" is one of the projects "owned" (in the launchpad sense)
by the @rpm5.org team is ROSA Linux, a clone of Mandriva linux being
developed in Russia. Launchpad is in use for project planning.
Since its unclear how Mandriva's bankruptcy is going to be resolved, I'm
assisting with some of the transitional tasks in case the Mandriva "business"
is actually going to be forced to close. The Mandriva linux distro will continue,
there are too many derivatives around, and too much activity, for FL/OSS
development to cease because of a "business" bankruptcy.
I'd like to take over the http://
of the naming and instant "brand identification". The usage case will
be project planning initially, exactly the same usage as what I am doing
with ROSA at http://
the French/Portugese portions of Mandriva.
My @rpm5.org intent with Mandriva project ownership is mostly to
help bootstrap development. I fully expect to give the ownership
to someone else, all depending on the resolution of Mandriva's bankruptcy.
