HFP for Linux (Nohands PPA) Installation Problem

Asked by am1

Dear launchpad members,

I am trying to install the HFP for Linux by using the instructions written here
https://launchpad.net/~sebastian-ruehl/+archive/nohands

I have Ubuntu 10.10.

I have typed in the terminal the following lines:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:sebastian-ruehl/nohands
sudo apt-get update

After that I have typed
sudo find . -name "*libhfp*"

but there were no results for this search.

1. How could I know that the installation has been done successfully?
2. How could I get the screens appeared here
       http://nohands.sourceforge.net/index.html
     and here
       http://nohands.sourceforge.net/config.html ?
3. Am I have to do any code programming ?

Thank you.

Hi there,

You have set up Ubuntu's package management system so that it can use https://launchpad.net/~sebastian-ruehl/+archive/nohands, but you have not done any installation yet.

To install the "nohands" package, do "apt-get install nohands". This is a separate step because PPAs may contain a variety of packages, and you may not want to install all of them.

Questions about how to use nohands are better addressed to either the package provider, sebastian-ruehl or the author of the code.

Can you help with this problem?
