I am being told that i am not "sudo" and that i will be reportes for trying to use my terminal.

Asked by garry goode

Ok so heres the whole story,,,, a couple of days ago i decided to try something different and i got rid of my Ubuntu 11.10 that i had on a dual boot with windows xp.

I wanted to try something new and radical so I installed an iso of kubuntu 11.04 that i got from someone on ebay a while back, then i saw the Gnome Debian 6.04 and I decided to try a triple partition with those two and the xp that i left intact..

Well the Kubuntu was very stubborn and it took three tries to get it to get it to install,,i think whoever made it did not check their workl for errors.

But it seemed to be fine on the third try so I went ahead and installed the new Debian and the install went very smooth i thought.
But when I rebooted when i got done I got that dreaded "no grub is detected on your computer" message.

So I was stuck,my pc would not boot up.So I used a friends computer and I made a fresh Iso of Kubuntu 11.10.

I got it to boot up and install ok,and my Debian and xp were still intact on their partitions.

It worked fine for a while and then I got a couple error messages that my Graphic Card and Drivers were out of date and incompatible with my Gnome Desktop.

I thought it was a crock of "----" but i disabled my 3D and I repartitioned my HDD.to accomodate the Gnome.

The error message said that if I did these two things that I could save my Triple boot system.

Ha ha,they lied,,I did what they told me to do and i used all three O.S"s for a couple of days.

Then on Friday night it froze up on me and stayed that way for a long time.

I left it alone and it finally came out of it and shut down.Well during the time that i was waiting for it to wake up I had contacted Microsoft and they told me that it was more than likely my Graphics that did it.

They had me boot it back up and they said they were gonna rearrange some files that were working against each other on the same partitioned space, once again i did it against my better judgement,i let them remote into my computer to do their rearranging. When they were done they said it went fine and they rebooted my PC..

Well it rebooted alright,,LMAO,,but now it has no Kubuntu and it seems that my Debian somehow morphed back in time and now is Ubuntu 11.10.
But it does still have the Debian Gnome Desktop and the file system seems to be ok,but on my flash screen it says that I have Ubuntu 11.10 and Windows XP on my machine.Kubuntu dissappeared into cyber space.

So now that gets me back to my original story,,I have been updating and puttin some bells and whistles on my Gnome Desktop and when I try to add stuff in the Terminal,or just try to update my "sudo app" stuff I get a nasty little error message from whoever is on the other end of my updates,,"garry is not authorized as sudo on this account"you got by us when you logged in but we are terminating this session and are reporting this incident....Whooey!!

This is my acccount and my computers,,Debian is just a little confused after those bad Microsoft men made Kubuntu dissappear.
And to top the whole story off they are trying to say that it was my Graphics chip and corrupt drivers that made this all happen..

I built that little Windows machine myself from the ground up,its all brand new and top of the line HD,3D,6.1 HD 3D Audio,Embedded Chipset MoBo,,it may be Windows but Im very happy and proud of that lil PC..

I love my Linux systems they are alot of fun to install and use,but from what I have been reading in my files and in forums online,,,it was the Linux drivers that were causing the issues,,,this may sound strange but I have been reading all the files that are embedded in my machine and my new MoBas sending alerts and messages out to the other systems that their drivers were old and out of date...

Im not gonna say anymore about it,,nd no

I dont have Alzheimers yet,,but will you please tell whoever it is on the other end of my updates and upgrades that I am "sudo",,,Debian is just Ubuntu now and we are gonna have to live with that..

Please try to get this resolved and have a wonderful day,and a Happy New Year..
Thank You,
Garry Goode
