Closing calibre2opds project on Launchpad

Asked by David Pierron

Hi,

We have moved our project to Subversion on Google Code, and to a Wordpress blog.

This means that the Launchpad page is redundant now; can it be closed, please ?

Best,
David Pierron, project lead.

Hello

We're sorry to see you leave us. I've closed the project for you.

Can I ask why you decided to leave please?

Thanks.

Hi Julian,

We first chose Launchpad as a host because our project was deeply linked
with Calibre, which is itself hosted on Launchpad.
But as time passed, we chose different solutions for tracking (Jetbrains),
source control (Subversion on Google Code), and our documentation was
recently moved to a new Wordpress blog.
So, I wanted to centralize everything as much as possible, and minimize
fragmentation.
Launchpad is a great service, and I love the administration interface. But
it's (imho) too much centered around bazaar for me ;)

Cheers,
David.

Hi David,

Thank you for your reply. Yes, LP's code hosting is designed around Bazaar as a distributed revision control system. If you don't like it then I guess there's not much I can do about that :) I'm pretty surprised you're using Subversion though!

Regards.

It's because I use it at work, and I've been using it since a long time.
