[spam report] question 134855 comment spam, Miriam's account hijacked

Asked by Eliah Kagan

The user Miriam (https://launchpad.net/~ambrosanos) was probably a legitimate user of Launchpad, but her account was apparently hijacked. Comment #9 in https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/adobe-flashplugin/+question/134855 is spam.

I've hidden the comment. Thanks for reporting this.

Has the user been contacted and asked to secure her email account (and provided basic instructions for doing so). I seem to recall that this at least used to be standard practice, in instances where spam was found and deleted but the user's account not immediately deactivated.

The type of spam posted in this case -- a money scam a.k.a. confidence trick -- is (in my opinion) particularly undesirable to allow to propagate, which is what motivates me to ask about this case even though I have not doing so in others.

Yes, I've also contacted the user in question about that spam.
