savane external bug status tracking

Are external bug statues from savane tracked in Launchpad? savane (the tracker used, for example, at http://savannah.gnu.org) is not listed at https://help.launchpad.net/Bugs/Statuses/External, but sometimes documentation is not fully current and I wanted to check before manually updating bug statuses from savane trackers (like the status of bug 403408).

This appears to be supported when you add a bug watch or register an
external tracker, https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/bugtrackers/gna.org
for example. However, syncing status or comments is not supported; the
support is informational only.

Strangely, bug #193742 implies that this _has_ been done, but the
change mentioned in the bug only appears to support registering remote
bugs in Launchpad, not the automated syncing of them.

I see that you've posted in bug 193742 asking for clarification and expressing the intention to file a bug requesting automated sinking of external savannah / savane bugs. Given that, and your explanation here, I'm marking this question as Solved. If you do file/find such a bug, I'd probably find it useful if you were to post about it or link it here or post about it in bug 193742 (or some combination of the three).
