We're keeping track of the opening:
https:/
The current state is:
Opening has been postponed until Monday, 2011-10-17. Staging is
being refreshed from production on 2011-10-16, so we will be able to
trial run copy-translatio
data.

Status update:
2011-10-20 0820 UTC: We are blocked waiting for the staging
refresh. It seems there are some Slony (replication) issues that are
preventing the refresh from happening. It would be better to run the
opening script on real data, but it may be expedient now to create
Precise in staging and run with that.

Status update:
2011-11-15 1200 UTC: Staging remains broken, so we have tested the
opening on dogfood. It was successful, and took a little under 2
hours; see the log. There was a ~30 minute delay while the script
waited for a long-running process (not part of the translations
opening) to complete, so run-time was approximately 1h30m. This
seems fine, given that dogfood has far less hardware behind it than
production. Jeroen is now sanity checking the new translations.

Fwiw, the log is at https:/

There was an error opening translations in production. Jeroen has
figured out what happened and we have a plan for reverting and trying
again. There are details on the wiki page (UbuntuOpenings, link
above).

The part we're responsible for has, at last, been completed, and the
baton passed to dpm.
