Filed a bug on Gwibber, being told it's a duplicate but the original bug doesn't exist

Asked by Kurt Zitzelman

For some reason, Gwibber has yet to work in Oneric for me. Every time I try to open it, either via the Dash or the Message Menu I get the same error, "gwibber-accounts crashed with TypeError in __init__(): Gtk.Window.set_icon_from_file() argument 1 must be string, not None". So I filed bug #842073 and got the reply that 842073 is a duplicate of bug #814259, but when I click on the link to view #814259 it takes me to an error page stating this page doesn't exist and asks me if I've lost something. When I search launchpad for #814259 I get pages of bugs reports all for the same thing I reported, all stating they are duplicates of #814259, yet it doesn't seem to exist. is this why Gwibber still doesn't work?

Thank you, this answers the question about where that bug went. Just wish they would either fix Gwibber or remove it as a default application... it has always had big issues.

(By the way, I meant to say that you could see https://help.launchpad.net/Bugs/PrivateBugs or https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/HowToTriage for info about private bug visibility.)
