private ppa

Asked by Bjørge Solli

On the site about PPA's there's a line about beta commercial ppa's. How does this work and could we please try this? We are a university that want to package our own binary debs that should only be installed on our machines. We could set up our own local apt repo with restrictions, but a service from ubuntu is an interesting thought.

Thankyou,

Hi Bjørge,

With a Private PPA you can have a PPA that's available only to the people you grant access to.

We charge $250 (+ UK VAT at 20% for customers in the EU; I'm not sure if EFTA countries have to pay that VAT) per year.

If you'd like to talk more, email <email address hidden>.

Thanks!

Matthew.
