I added a remote ticket url for #816287, but it says "ticket does not appear to exist".

I added a link to the remote tracker for bug #816287. It says it can't find the bug report on asterisk's servers. What did I do wrong ? Why is it not reading the remote bug report ?

This is probably due to the fact that the Asterisk bug tracker that Launchpad points to is a Mantis instance, and Launchpad has historically had several problems dealing with Mantis instances.

It could also be something to do with the Asterisk Mantis having been made read only (probably not, though). The actual Asterisk bug tracker is a JIRA instance. Unfortunately Launchpad can't handle JIRA at all (bug #385079).
