Confused on how to Subscribe me to a bug

Asked by Laura Czajkowski

On viewing a bug I may want to subscribe myself to the bug, however I can't seem to find that any more, I can subscribe someone else to the bug which is rather annoying or a team but not myself :/

Not a bug, just a question

It should read "You are not directly subscribed to this bug's notifications. Edit bug mail" on the right side of the page if you haven't already subscribed. Can't see the text? Convert back to bug ;-)

The right hand side menu of a launchpad-bug page could be improved so that one sees a button saying subscribe even when not logged in; this would avoid a tiny bit of confusion in those circumstances where a novice Launchpad member, such as myself, reaches the page from a google search and wants to subscribe, but doesn't see an obvious button to press in order to do so.

as jiri-gronroos says above, it reads "You are not directly subscribed to this bug's notifications. Edit bug mail", I think it would be better with a more explicit subscribe button.

This is an example of a detail that might serve to recruit and to keep new members and contributors by making the interface as intuitive as possible. Many sites have this feature, where there is a button to press marked "subscribe" that, if a user is not logged in, takes them to a "log in" page, and if the user doesn't have an account, provides a link for them to a register form.

Can you help with this problem?
