Why doesn't edge use unminified JavaScript?

Why does edge use minified JavaScript? Wouldn't it be better not to, so that users could more easily track down issues in the scripts without having to do set up an entire launchpad instance of their own?

Edge is obsolete. Do not use it. Use launchpad.net which has the new code.
