Cornish team for Launchpad translators group

Asked by Nicky Rowe on 2011-06-04

Hi, I've created a translation team for Cornish at and am requesting appointment.

I think we have fulfilled the points on how to create a team, the team is moderated, there's a welcome note, we have a Google group for communication, a link to the guidelines and I've joined the translators mailing list.

We are a team of two at the moment but we are expecting more to join.

I don't think the confirmation email is being accepted by the Google mailing list, so I've requested a Launchpad one.

Thanks nrowe.

Looking at the team page, it looks great. Before we appoint the team, may I ask you to look into a couple of quick points?:

* Could you please set your e-mail address as visible? As a team coordinator you should be contactable and have a stable e-mail address - notice that this address will only be visible to logged in users in Launchpad.
* This is not directly relevant to this support request, but I thought I'd mention it just in case you're interested. There is an Ubuntu Cornish translation team at Perhaps you'd be interested in getting in touch with them and helping you with the translation effort. They also tried to get the team appointed for the translation of Ubuntu, but the request got stalled because of the lack of replies:

Hi David. I've made my email address visible. Thanks for the notice about the Ubuntu team, I've requested to join, it'll be good to combine efforts.

Thanks for looking into this this quickly.

I've now added the Cornish team to the Launchpad Translators group, so you'll be able to translate any project assigned to it into Cornish.

I see you are pointing to the Launchpad general guidelines at on your team page. These are intended to be used as a template for guidance to teams who haven't started creating their own yet, so I'd recommend either creating your own or adapting the general ones for your language.

Happy translating!
