How do I add a specific release of Ubuntu to a bug report?

Asked by Nicola Ferralis

When a bug is filed for a package, its status is set for (usually) the latest version of Ubuntu. My question is: if the bug also affects previous version of ubuntu, how do I add a line in the summary table to track the status of that specific bug for a specific release of Ubuntu?

For example, in this bug:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/760131

Both natty and oneiric are targeted. I would like to be able to do the same for this bug:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gwyddion/+bug/787532

Thanks!
Nicola

That feature is used to target a fix to a specific series. It's not about "affecting" a certain release. Ubuntu developers should have a "Target to series" link next to "Also affects" links. If you don't have that link, you probably do not have enough privileges and you should talk to someone from Ubuntu who does: we in Launchpad do not know who that is.

Can you help with this problem?
