bentokit projects SVN code import name resolution problem

Asked by Tudor Holton

I got a few emails today saying that all the code imports in the retromod project have been failing.

I looked at the logs and it says that there's a temporary name resolution failure that's been going on for 3 days.

I've checked, and my https web server is definitely up and the DNS is resolving fine.

This appears to be true also of the flywire project (also part of bentokit) code imports at the same host, although I have not received any emails as yet for that project.

Can you look into this?

Our internal DNS resolvers refuse to handle, probably because the zone has far too many references to localhost.

;; ANSWER SECTION: 38400 IN SOA localhost. root.localhost. 1258199050 10800 3600 604800 38400

;; AUTHORITY SECTION: 38400 IN NS localhost.

I've asked the sysadmins why our resolvers break when asked about this domain, when others that I've tested work fine, but I suspect the domain's SOA and NS records should be fixed too.

Can you help with this problem?
