Duplicate accounts and one was created by package import

Asked by Anthony Wong on 2011-05-04

The user account https://launchpad.net/~ypwong was created by package import. I am the author of the hotkeys program and so I would like to merge that account with my current one. I want to keep the short login ID (ypwong) as well, my current one is a bit awkward.

Thanks,
Anthony

Do you still have access to that account's email address? If so, go to https://launchpad.net/people/+requestmerge?field.dupe_person=ypwong and request a merge. Once that's done you can rename your existing ypwong-ypwong account at https://launchpad.net/~ypwong-ypwong/+edit.

Unfortunately I do not have access to that email address mailbox any more. The email of the account ypwong should be a debian.org email which I no longer have access to.

Indeed it is. LOSAs: please merge ypwong into ypwong-ypwong.

Anthony, as above, you can rename your merged account back to ypwong once this is done.

ypwong merged into ypwong-ypwong as requested

The merge is complete. You can now rename your account to ~ypwong.

Can you help with this problem?
