Is it possible to remove double-posts?

Asked by Todd A. Jacobs

Launchpad is not always responsive, and this occasionally leads to double-posts in bug reports and answers. Is it possible to remove such duplicate postings, or are they forever part of the history?

Messages can be removed. Which bug and message do you want removed.

The question is meant to be broader, but as a specific example, I have a double-post in https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnucash/+question/153095 that I wanted to clean up by removing the duplicate entry. How can this be done?

Users cannot remove messages from bugs or questions. Launchpad's registry admins can remove messages for several reasons including spam, offensive content, or in cases or duplicate posts.

Can you help with this problem?
