Should Launchpad Answers create links automagically for references to other Launchpad Answers articles?

Asked by Stephen Gornick

When asking a question or commenting in Launchpad Answers, if I reference a bug in a Launchpad project, (e.g., Bug #1 ), that bug reference is displayed as a link that takes you directly to the page for the bug.

Should the same thing be done for references to other Launchpad Answers articles?

****
The automagic link for Bug #1 shows the URL:
  https://answers.launchpad.net/bugs/1
which gives an HTTP 302 that a browser will follow to the correct page in Launchpad Bugs for Bug #1.

The format for a link to a question works similarly with:
  https://answers.launchpad.net/questions/1
which also gives an HTTP 302 to the correct page in Launchpad Answers for Question #1.

I think it's probably worth it, but how would you refer to the question (or answer)? "question XXX" and "answer XXX"?

There is a bug already opened about turning FAQ references into link. You should probably file another one with your suggestion.

Thanks
