Please rename https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/o-series to oneiric

Asked by Colin Watson

Per http://www.markshuttleworth.com/archives/646, please rename https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/o-series to "oneiric". I've changed the display name and so on, but I can't actually rename the distroseries.

I realise this will change URLs, but I think it's unlikely that anyone will have bookmarked URLs under this distroseries or anything like that.

Reassigning the distroseries from Tom Haddon to techboard would probably be appropriate, too.

I renamed the series to oneiric. The series assumed that infor about new uploads goes to <email address hidden>. Is this correct?

Thanks, and yes, that -changes address is fine although I'm not sure whether we've created it yet (though we will do before actually uploading anything). Is it possible to change the registrant to techboard to match previous distroseries, too?

It is not possible to change the registrant field except by db surgery. The field is intended to show who registered the series and it does. It is impossible for any team to register something since no person can login as a team. I see surgery has been performed by losas in the past. Why? Does this relate to the issue that page does not clearly state the distribution owner maintains the series?

If it's not possible and doesn't actually mean anything much, that's
fine. I just thought it would make sense to match previous
distroseries.

Can you confirm that the registrant has no particular privileges we
might care about?

I can indeed confirm that no registrant has privileges. Not for distroseries, not for any object in Launchpad
