tennessee.team needs additional administrators

Asked by Elizabeth K. Joseph

The leader for https://launchpad.net/~tennessee.team has been missing for over a month now. This is an active project and information describing their project is out of date and people wanting to join have been queuing up and memberships expiring. More information about the problems that have arisen from this are outlined here: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/TennesseeTeam/TeamMembershipIssue

They also submitted a question in their launchpad team, and I made an attempt to contact their current administrator without any response: https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu-us/+question/14584

Can we have https://launchpad.net/~w4ett and https://launchpad.net/~matthew-t-craig added to the Administrator list for this team?

Sure. Just ask Jono Bacon to confirm and I'll make the change for you.

Thank you...the membership backlog has been cleared, and the Tennessee Team is moving forward.

w4ett accidentally let his membership in this team expire and the other admins have gone MIA again - can we get him re-approved on the team and added back as an administrator?

Thanks.

I had an extended stay in the hospital earlier this year, and my membership expired...I re-applied in July, but no admins have been actively working the loco team. Several emails and PMs have been submitted with no reply. Thanks.

Since July, wow! You should have asked us before. All fixed up, and happy to hear you're out of the hospital (I just visited one yesterday..)

Isn't it a bit weird that the admins for this team keep going MIA, btw?

It is a bit weird, but maybe we can get the ball rolling again. I had to take a hiatus from actively administering the team due to moving to a new job/area. Then I was hit with a bout of ill health with an extended stay in Hospital. Most activity in the loco ceased last November (which is no good thing) Maybe we can get the ball rolling again. Many thanks for your help.

Hi Neal..... Yes, we got the membership issue sorted, and we are beginning to renew some interest in the LoCo. Drop by the IRC Channel sometime.

Hello! I am a member of the TN Team LoCo and (honestly) I don't know how I got to this page but maybe this is a good thing... Our team is starting up again! but we do not have any active leaders... MIA again. We are trying to form ourselves, we have a scheduled meeting on IRC, Freenode channel #ubuntu-meeting for June 2nd, 7:00 PM CST time. This should be on the mailing lists soon. Our number one concern now is taking control of our LoCo so we can organize what is happening.

Thanks
