"points" of "Top contributors" not updated

Asked by Ruediger Berlich

Hi,
I'm a member of the core team of the Geneva library (http://www.launchpad.net/geneva) and arguably also the largest contributor. I must have made a large portion of the > 1600 commits. Yet the "points" listed in the "Top Contributors" section remain unchanged since pretty much the beginning, at 25 points. Can this be updated ?
Best Regards,
Ruediger

before we analyse this. I need to state that karma is bogus and the Lp engineers continue to discuss removing it. The awarded points are arbitrary, and the "balancing" mechanism give minor contributors more recognition that major contributors.

The allocate-revision-karma process has not run for since 2011-01-30, so that partially explains why https://launchpad.net/geneva/+topcontributors show you have less code karma, then you expect. http://code.launchpad.net/~gemfony also has a lot of karma from the last year, and being the owner of the branch I think he may have done a lot of work. Lastly we need to consider that allocate-revision-karma award points for commits, not lines. Users who commit small changes often will earn more that users who commit large changes in a single revision.

allocate-revision-karma should start running in 2 days. I expect your work to be credited in 3 days.

Can you help with this problem?
