Can't find signing_key_fingerprint

Asked by Gustav Gonzalez

Hello there, I'm trying to upload a PPA of my project.

I ran this command:

dput ppa:xtingray/tupi tupi_0.1-0ubuntu5_source.changes

I got this:

Successfully uploaded tupi_0.1-0ubuntu5.dsc to ppa.launchpad.net for ppa.
Successfully uploaded tupi_0.1-0ubuntu5.tar.gz to ppa.launchpad.net for ppa.
Successfully uploaded tupi_0.1-0ubuntu5_source.changes to ppa.launchpad.net for ppa.

But, when I try this:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:xtingray/tupi

I got this message:

Error: can't find signing_key_fingerprint at https://launchpad.net/api/1.0/~xtingray/+archive/tupi

So, What's wrong? How can I fix it?

Thank you!

Your upload was rejected because your signing key (3022C3A608E663AD03A063558CA426D616BD1AE) is not associated with your Launchpad account. Once your upload is accepted, a key will be generated and add-apt-repository will work.

Gosh! I forgot to update my new key before start uploading my PPA file :S

Now that I have the right key associated to my Launchpad account,
I only have one question: do I have to do something else to make it works?

I tried this command again:

% dput ppa:xtingray/tupi tupi_0.1-0ubuntu5_source.changes
Package has already been uploaded to ppa on ppa.launchpad.net
Nothing more to do for tupi_0.1-0ubuntu5_source.changes

And then this one:
% sudo add-apt-repository ppa:xtingray/tupi
Error: can't find signing_key_fingerprint at https://launchpad.net/api/1.0/~xtingray/+archive/tupi

So, I wonder if this is matter of time or am I missing something?

Thank you!

That dput message is just a local check; use the '-f' option to force it to upload anyway. You should then receive an email within 5 minutes telling you whether the package was accepted or rejected.
