Can I use Launchpad for a libre hardware project?

Asked by Fabio Varesano

Hi everybody,

thanks for Launchpad. It's really a great and libre platform.

I'd like to know if it would be possible to use it for hosting a community driven development of a free, libre and open source hardware.

I'm the developer of FreeIMU, a 9DOM/DOF IMU used for orientation sensing mainly. For more informations see:
http://www.varesano.net/blog/fabio/freeimu-designing-free-speech-9-domdof-marg-imu

The project is a fully libre hardware. The designs are released using CC-BY-SA 3.0, software libraries under GNU GPL v3 and I don't use any prioprietary software in the development or coding of FreeIMU

As I don't see any mention of using Launchpad for hosting libre hardware projects on the ToS, I just asked for it here.

What do you think?

Thanks,

Fabio Varesano
