bug reported,how do I know when fixed

I reported the following bug okkie <email address hidden>.my computer is semi disfunctional because I cannot do an update or get into synaptic.
Is it being attended to and will I be informed when fixed or is there something I must do and am unaware of?
In fact I am actually afraid to ask questions because I had most unacceptable remarks in the past because of my 'stupidity' I assume.
