Upload rejected : source file already exist

Asked by Benoit Frigon

I uploaded a package that use wget to download files needed to build the package. It did not work because the build server don't have access to the outside world (now i know)...

So, i added those files to the source tar and incremented the package version from 0ubuntu1~ppa1 to 0ubuntu1~ppa2.
I received the following error :

Rejected: File asterisk-core-sounds_1.4.20.orig.tar.gz already exists in Asterisk Testing, but uploaded version has different contents.

Also tried to delete the old package and upload again, same thing...

Is it possible to manually delete the orig.tar.gz?

It worked, i just needed to wait a little bit longer...

The package was marked as deleted but not "removed from disk"... Once it was removed, i was able to upload the new package.

You still cannot upload the same file with different contents. You need to bump the version.
