I want to be a translator and translate Ubuntu

How can I become a translator?

The answer is very simple: you become a translator by translating! Just look at the translations that are missing, read any documentation you can find (and existing translations, to stay consistent), and start entering translations.

Your translations will go into the system as suggestions, which the translation team that manages the translation should then review. You can follow what happens to your suggestions on your personal page (the link with your name at the top of every Launchpad page) in the Translations tab.
