my e-mail address is visible to spam bots in post 98. Is it possible to hide the address or change it into something not readable by a spam bot?

This is not a bug in Launchpad code.

Your email address is not visible to anonymous users and bots. Launchpad obfuscates anything that looks like an email address in comments when pages are viewed by non-members.
