Creating a new translation

Asked by Auria

This question strikes me as unbelievably basic but I can't find this answer anywhere

We have a translation project here : https://translations.launchpad.net/stk/trunk
We have a list of existing languages that we got when importing our existing .po files. Now I was contacted by someone who wishes to start a Hungarian translation. Only problem? We are totally unable to find a "create new translation" or "translate into a new language" or similar link. The only way that was found was to edit the URL and go directly to https://translations.launchpad.net/stk/trunk/+pots/supertuxkart/hu/+translate . This seems unbelievably silly, so I wonder what is the proper way to create a new translation for a language not yet covered

Thanks

The proper way is for a translator to set their preferred language to Hungarian. Once they do that, it will show up in a list of languages available for translation even though there are no translations.

Try it out yourself by adding a few languages at https://launchpad.net/people/+me/+editlanguages

Can you help with this problem?
