Allowing mails from external bugtracker to launchpad moderated mailinglist

Asked by bortis

I have just applied for a new GNOME translation team. They suggest to allow "<email address hidden>" to the teams mailing list, which is in our case located in launchpad. The team is moderated and only team members can post to it. Where can I configure that mails send from "<email address hidden>" get to the list?

Launchpad mailing list are intended for team member communication. Non-team members are always moderated, emails with non-registered email addresses are always discarded.

A user or team must own <email address hidden> so that emails from it are moderated, and this user or team must be a team member and maybe list subscriber to ensure the email are delivered to the list.
1. Someone could register a team named bugzilla-daemon
2. Maybe make several user or teams admins so that it is shared.
3. Set the teams' contact address to <email address hidden>.
4, The confirmation email address will be sent to that address.
5. Use the link in the email to complete the setup of the address.
6. Add the team to your team.
7. send an email claiming to be from <email address hidden>.
8. Visit the list moderation queue and approve it.
9. Launchpad will remember the approval, subsequent emails from the address will go to the list.
