LP Registry as a Team Owner?

I would like to leave a translation team, which I am the Owner of. Can I assign the LP Registry Team to be the new owner of that team, if the team members do not want to do the job?

The registry teams should not own any team. We will force another team member to be the owner of the team. We pick from the existing team administrators. If no one wants to lead the team, maybe the team should be deleted.
