How do I setup Launchpad on my own bzr server?

Asked by J Bridges

Launchpad looks nice on your site, but I want to set it up on my own in-house server. I can't find any installation instructions on this site. I have a Ubuntu server and I have been installing just about everything relevant to a bzr viewer that I can find, including loggerhead. I get lots of files but no installation instructions. The READMEs contain just enough information to be maddening, causing me to do seaches on my computer for anything relevant.

Please publish something useful for someone who is new to bzr and launchpad.

Hi,

There are instructions on https://dev.launchpad.net/ for getting and running Launchpad. It is a large and complex system and will take a great deal of work to run and maintain. It's probably worth getting familiar with bzr and Launchpad via launchpad.net before you attempt to run your own instance.

The Launchpad developers at Canonical will support you if you wish to develop and contribute to the Launchpad code-base. You can run it for your own needs in-house, but we can only support the launchpad.net service.

Gavin.
