ubuntuinstallguide cannot be deactivated because it it linked to Maverick installation-guide package. If this is wrong, I can unlink the package and deactivate the project. Does ubuntu-docs provide the installation-guide?

The link can be removed. The installation-guide package is in fact provided by the installation-guide project, which is valid and maintained.
