make bug reports for fluiddb private by default

Asked by Esteve Fernandez on 2010-09-06

Hi,

we bought a subscription for fluiddb (http://launchpad.net/fluiddb) and our bzr repos are already private. However, I can't seem to make bug reports private by default too, is there an option for doing so? I created a bug report (https://bugs.launchpad.net/fluiddb/+bug/631767), but it was created as public and had to change it to private manually.

Thanks.

Hi Esteve,

Turning on private bugs is not something end users can do but I can set it up for you.

When turned on, the person or team set as the 'Bug supervisor' will be the only people who can see the private bug along with the original reporter. You may subscribe others to the bug and they will then be able to see it too.

Since you have not set a bug supervisor for your project I cannot turn on private bugs. (If I did, they wouldn't be visible to anyone!)

So, please go to https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/fluiddb and set the bug supervisor role to the appropriate person or team. Let me know when you've done that and then I will turn on private bugs by default.

Hi Brad,

ok, I just set the fluiddb-dev team as the bug supervisor, is there any other step I need to follow?

Thanks!

That was all I needed Esteve. I've enabled private bugs for fluiddb.
