Translation was marked as uploaded by one people, why him?

Asked by Aymeric

Hi,

I'm responsible of translation in a project (PlayOnLinux), and we are now using rosetta.

We (PlayOnLinux team) use a git and not bazaar, but for simplify translation process I've configured bazaar to sync with the git.
So when we commit a new template to the git, it was automatically imported to rosetta, that what we want.

But why each time that some one made a change to the template import, in import queue we saw that upload was made by the same guys.

I've commited an update of the template, and there is nothing in the template for associating it with this guys (qparis).
Look here: https://translations.launchpad.net/playonlinux/arietis/+imports
Import of lang/po/pol.pot was made by qparis, but it's me (mulx) that made the commit.

So who to change this one? For a better management in our team it will be great that upload was marked made by me.
And why Rosetta found qparis instead of me (mulx)?

Best regards,
Aymeric.

It's because it uses branch owner or project owner as the "uploader". We should fix it to use the committer (that's bug 520053).

Hi, thanks for your answer.

As I said, the project was hosted on a git website (github.com), but I sync it into my lp account (https://code.launchpad.net/~mulx/playonlinux/PlayOnLinux3-official).
I've created the team, the project and the code branch here in addition qparis use two different mail address between here and github so I have very difficult to find where lp found qparis.

But I read the bug you linked and adding a last-translator field should change the "uploader"?
Ok, I will try, I have some changes to made to the template.

According to previous message, I add a Last-Translator line to the file header.
But Rosetta didn't change the name of uploader in the Import Q (https://translations.launchpad.net/playonlinux/arietis/+imports).

No, Last-Translator will credit translations (when they are imported) properly. It won't change the uploader. The fact that it won't is the mentioned bug. It's still not fixed.

Can you help with this problem?
