About the person link on the top-right corner

Asked by Andrea Corbellini

On every Launchpad page, on the top-right corner there's a link to your account (/people/+me). A few days ago that link was pointing always to (edge.)launchpad.net. Now it points to the domain that you are currently using, so for example if you are viewing a bug and click on the link, bugs.(edge.)launchpad.net/~lp-id is opened.

For me, my code/bugs/blueprints/translations/answers pages are pretty unuseful. Instead I find extremely useful my "overview" page where I can see all my in-progress bugs, PPAs, teams and projects with a single click.

I'm wondering why the behavior of the person link has changed?

The intent was to show the launchpad id instead of display name so that Lp behaves like other sites. This is also a subtle rule change where Launchpad encouraged 1 identity per person, but it now recognises that many users ignore this rule.

The URL in the link is wrong. All links to users should link to the mainsite.
