What is the "package" template that just showed up in Rosetta for my project?

Asked by Rob Spearman

My project translations are here:

https://translations.launchpad.net/nightshade

Just recently a new template showed up called "package" with no strings translated. What is this, and/or how can I get rid of it?

This might be related to turning on automatic template imports from Bzr recently.

Thanks.

Hello Rob,
you are having good and bad luck here .... ;)
Good luck: Your source code has intltool configured and our new automatic template generation system is able to generate a template for you. In theory you could remove the template file from your branch and let Launchpad do the string extraction and uploading of the template when ever you push a code change to your branch.
Bad luck: You hit bug 582185 which created the bad file and template name. Sorry about that.

The current solution is to disable the "package" template which you can do yourself right here: https://translations.launchpad.net/nightshade/trunk/+pots/package/+edit by unchecking "Accept translations?". Once the bug is fixed, the template generation will produce a template with the right name "nightshade" and start updating it for you. At that point you should remove the "po/nightshade.pot" file from your branch.

Sorry about the mess but please look forward to the benefits of automatic template generation.

Can you help with this problem?
