Rename project "mkinitrd" -> "mcinitrd"

Asked by datube

I've create a project "mkinitrd" (https://launchpad.net/mkinitrd). Afterwards I found out there already is a package named "mkinitrd". I would like it to be renamed to "mcinitrd", but I can not find a way to do this myself. Thanks in advance.

you can click :
edit people -> checkbox (I do not want to maintain this project) and save Changes ..

Or click here :
https://launchpad.net/mkinitrd/+edit-people
checkbox (I do not want to maintain this project) and save Changes ..

After delete this project .. create a new project ..

That is a wrong answer. Only an admin can rename a project. projects cannot be deleted. So when a user abandons a project, he looses control and clutters the name space.

This question is assgined to a Launchpad admin who will rename the project.

Forcing the status to Open so that admin know the question still needs their attention.
