Change status of several bugs simultaneously

Is it possible to change the status of several bugs simultaneously? E.g. it is very cumbersome if we make a new release. After the release, we need to change the status of several bugs from 'fix committed' to 'fix released' by hand. This is very cumbersome.

It's not currently possible to do this. Lots of people want this feature. See bug 3454. The title is misleading, but it's a bug for general mass editing to our team.

There's no timeline for getting this work done, but we would like to see it happen eventually.
