Request for new project group 'EPICS'

Asked by Andrew Johnson

The EPICS community has existed since the early 1990s to develop and maintain control system software for large experimental physics users (our website usually ranks #1 on a Google search for the word "EPICS"). The core EPICS software toolkit is called EPICS Base and has been maintained as a project here at LP (lp:epics-base) since December, having been completely open source since 2004. There is currently a Code Sprint under way and we are converting more software to use Launchpad with Bazaar, which is why there have been a few more projects and teams added this week. I am the maintainer of the EPICS website and one of the core developers, and would like an LP project group called "EPICS" to encompass all our related projects.

Please associate the following projects with the new epics project group:
 * epics-base
 * epics-base-tests
 * epics-appdev

There will be others added in the future.

Thanks,

- Andrew

I created the project group for you.
https://launchpad.net/epics

You may want to edit it right away and move the summary to be the dscription and the title to be the summary and set the title to just "The EPICS Project". I always get confused what goes where when filling out these forms. and I cannot change it after I created it ... ;-)

You can add your projects yourself by editing them and filling out the "Part of" field.

Good luck with EPICS!
