can't add email address to launchpad account

I tried to add an email address (<email address hidden>) to my launchpad account (dh3) and got this error message:

Sorry, something just went wrong in Launchpad.
We’ve recorded what happened, and we’ll fix it as soon as possible.
Apologies for the inconvenience.
(Error ID: OOPS-1587H939)

Is there anything I can do at this stage? I had previously tried registering with <email address hidden> and the registration email never arrived.

In case there was an existing account I tried to merge it, but I got this error message:

There must be something strange about the entry for "<email address hidden>" that's stopping merging or email adding from working. Please can you fix it?

ew. That's a subtle nasty one.
I'll create a separate bug report; gist is that the @biff address belongs to a 'never activated' account; stuck in limbo.

Anyway that doesn't solve your problem here; I've reset that old account to deliberately break the email address, so the @biff one should be free for you to assign to your dh3 account.

See how that goes?
