spam comments in bug #192720 & bug #255651
These issues were discussed in #launchpad however the spam is still in the bug reports. As such I am filing this so that they are not forgotten. I understand how busy everyone is at this time of the release cycle.

The link opens up a "canadian health & care mall" website (see <REDACTED>)

The strange thing is these are not newly created accounts, perhaps the offending accounts have been abandoned & recently hacked?

I suspended ~damienxdixon and ~thiebaude I agree that this is new and worisome behaviour. I suspect the spammers are using a new tactic to under the mistaken belief that Launchpad watches new acccounts. The truth is simpler Launchpad and its community watches all activity.
An admin can delete the comments

I redacted the link because the link is what is most valuable to to the spammer. The spammers moved away from new profiles when it was clear that links were not rendered

Hi Curtis.
Thanks for taking action on those accounts :)
The link I posted was only a screenshot of the website that opened up when clicking on the spammers comment, not the actual link that the spammer posted. However, I understand the reason for it to being redacted & I agree.
I will hold off marking this as solved until the one of the LOSA's deletes the comments.
Can you help with this problem?
Provide an answer of your own, or ask Mitch Towner for more information if necessary.
