is there a way to unsubscribe from various emails sendings from launchpad?

Asked by Steve McInerney

Via inherited groups I get whole bunches of email about stuff that is relevant to the parent groups, but not to me personally.
Such that, by way of example, I have a .procmailrc with:

:0
* ^X-Launchpad-Project: (couchdb-glib|ubunet|ubuntuone-client|evolution-couchdb|ubuntuone-testing|bindwood|ubuntuone-servers|turkey-pop-up)
* ^X-Launchpad-Message-Rationale: Subscriber (@ubuntuone-hackers|@turkey-pop-up-team)
* ^X-Launchpad-Notification-Type: (code-review|branch-revision)
.Trash/

as well as a few others to trash build messages and so on.
This seems an unnecessary step, as well as a waste of LP's resources/effort in sending the messages in the first place.

Note that there are messages that come via those groups that I *do* want and need to see.

???

Thes is no easy way to deal with this situation. Team owners need to take the team members email needs into consideration when the team is subscribed to bugs or branches.

Bugs is inherriently broken since the subscription it is designed to let the user choose the level of email notifications, but the bugs team has not enabled that feature.

In the case of the code example you provide, you can ask the team owner to change the subscription to just no email, let the team members subscribe themselves.

Some teams create a mailing list and set that as the contact address. Members only get email when they choose to subcribe to the mailing list.

Can i stop launchpad from sending *me* emails about *my* posts? This seems redundant.

Can you help with this problem?

Provide an answer of your own, or ask Steve McInerney for more information if necessary.
