Activate SocialMe's Trac importing

Asked by as

Would you please enable the import of bugs from the SocialMe Trac?

But the instance requires a password. I will need a private email address to mail the password and not willing to reveal it publicly.

You'll need to convert your bug data to our XML format first. You can get a trac converter from https://edge.launchpad.net/trac-launchpad-migrator. Once you have the data file, you can include a link to the file here or email it to me or Graham Binns. See our LP pages for contact info.

Cheers,
deryck

Turns out, the thing didn't work.

Just get it going. I'll mail the required password when it's required.

Got it. I've uploaded it here:

http://socialmeproject.co.cc/sm_dump.xml

Let me know when you get it into Launchpad and I'll privately mail the password.

Woops!

I'd rather not expose my email to the public.

Create an Trac account here:
http://socialmeproject.co.cc/tracreg.php

and authenticate with the new credentials and download this file:
http://trac.socialmeproject.co.cc/sm_dump.xml

Hi, Andrew.

Can you either put the file on a publicly accessible web site or email it to me? My email is first-dot-last-AT-canonical-dot-com.

Cheers,
deryck

Mailed. Might get corrupted, in that case I'll attach it or put it at a public location (last resort).

Hi, Andrew.

Just recording our private emails outcome here --

Andrew is going to add the bugs himself since the import consisted of only two bugs. This will be quicker than having to wait on anyone from the bugs team to help with the import.

Marking this solved since there's no further work to be done.
